WEP trio complete IATF 16949 training
Posted on May 02, 2025Three colleagues at Wolverhampton Electro Plating (WEP) have successfully completed internal auditor training for IATF 16949, reinforcing WEP’s commitment to the highest quality standards for its automotive customers.
Cameron Jones, Neil Donaldson and Andy Ball recently took part in the two-day training course, which equips them to assess and ensure ongoing compliance with IATF 16949 requirements across the business.
IATF 16949 was developed by The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) – a group of automotive manufacturers and their respective trade associations – and approved by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is the globally recognised standard for quality management systems in the industry.
WEP holds the certification along with all other UK businesses within the Anochrome Group – Anochrome Technologies, Anochrome Ltd and Inlex – as well as Anocote Czech Republic.
The internal auditor training will allow Cameron, Neil and Andy to objectively apply the requirements and principles of IATF 16949 within the business.
Denis Rainbird, General Manager at WEP, said: “IATF 16949 is an important certification for us as it is specific to the automotive sector, our biggest market. It sets us apart from many of our competitors.
“This training has provided the trio with the skills and knowledge to conduct regular internal audits that ensure we are operating to the very highest standards across all our processes.
“This enables us to maintain a high level of readiness for IATF audits and reinforces our commitment to quality for our automotive customers.”
In addition to IATF 16949, WEP also holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications.
