Group HSE and Compliance Teams Acquire ISO14001 Lead auditor Certifications

Anochrome Group enjoys being a market leader in surface treatments. Recently all four UK sites within the Anochrome Group have been successfully certified to ISO14001:2015.

ISO14001 is an Environmental Management System (EMS), developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO). It provides a framework for organisations to design and implement an EMS and continually improve their environmental performance.

To ensure that all Anochrome Group sites have continued support and expertise, and to allow continuing improvement regarding this certification requirement, two of our Group Managers, Richard Chater – Group HSE and Technical Support Manager and Sue Guilmant – Group Compliance Manager, have completed an ISO14001 Lead Auditor course.

This enforces and underpins our strong ethics regarding environmental management and continuing improvement.

Richard said: “The course was an enjoyable experience in gaining greater knowledge regarding ISO14001, thus creating a stronger environmental management system foundation to satisfy the growing needs within our industry.”

Sue said: “I have worked implementing and auditing ISO14001 for many years, but I had never certified in the discipline of Lead Auditor for ISO14001.  Completing the course enforces that we are building a strong foundation for our EMS, to ensure that we are always compliant as we strive to embrace new environmental expectations, such as climate change and the implications of the new technologies we continue to embrace.”

Mark Jones, Managing Director, said: “Both Sue and Richard are valuable, fantastic members of our team. I applaud them in their commitment to growth.

“The Group Compliance, Technical and HSE support team plays an increasingly important role and are integral to our business, by assisting the group of companies with their continued success.”
