Carl Love General Manager

Anochrome puts Love at the heart of growth plans

Metal finishing specialist Anochrome Ltd has appointed a vastly experienced leader to push the business forward through growth in new sectors.

Carl Love has been appointed as the new General Manager at the Walsall-based business, which is part of the Anochrome Group.

He has almost 40 years’ experience within engineering and manufacturing, predominantly within the oil and gas sector, having started out as a design engineer before moving into a sales role with lifting and mooring equipment manufacturer, Ansell Jones.

Carl has also held numerous Operations Director and Managing Director positions at businesses including TSC Offshore and Surestop.

The 56-year-old from Wolverhampton takes over the day-to-day running of Anochrome Ltd from Steve Norman, who will concentrate on his role as Anochrome Group Commercial Director and UK Divisional Director.

Carl said: “I am delighted to have joined Anochrome Ltd at an important time for both the business and the wider Anochrome Group.

“I have successfully led a number of businesses and organisations and, over the years, I have developed processes that remain the same wherever I am.

“It’s early days but I am beginning to understand some of the areas where we can make adjustments that will bring a positive effect. I am keen to fully understand exactly where we are before making any strategic changes, but we have a strong future ahead of us.

“This is an exciting time for the Anochrome Group following the acquisition by Endless LLP. We are on a trajectory of growth and it is great to be part of that journey.”

Anochrome Ltd has around 50 employees and is the UK’s leading rack plating specialist, processing millions of components every week.

Steve Norman said: “Carl brings decades of leadership experience that will be invaluable to Anochrome Ltd as we look to continue our growth.

“Anochrome Ltd has been heavily embedded in the automotive industry for eight decades. While that will remain a vital part of our operations, we are also committed to increasing our involvement in other sectors, including renewable energy, aerospace, defence and rail.

“Carl has all the skills required to lead that push, and will ensure we are utilising the benefits of the new technology and processes we are constantly seeking to invest in.”

Outside of work, Carl is a martial arts enthusiast and is a second degree black belt, specialising in a combination of kickboxing, karate and Thai boxing.
