Advanced surface coating specialist Anotec has been verified by The Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) in recognition of its expertise within the rail sector.
The company, part of the Anochrome Group, said the certification marks a significant step forward in its engagement with the rail industry and reinforces its position as a trusted supplier to one of the most demanding markets.
RISQS is the certification authority for the Great British Rail Industry and is a key qualification for suppliers working within the sector, confirming compliance, quality, safety and performance.
Anotec achieved RISQS verification following a comprehensive audit covering production and management systems, including environmental practices and operational control.
To celebrate the achievement, the Anochrome Group is hosting influential figures from the UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN), the Rail Industry Association (RIA) and Network Rail across its four UK operating sites in Walsall and Wolverhampton later this month.
Guests will be given a behind-the-scenes look at the group’s technology, expertise and long-term commitment to sustainable innovation.
Steve Norman, Anochrome Group UK Divisional Director, said: “Achieving RISQS approval is an important milestone for Anotec and for the wider Anochrome Group.
“It recognises the quality and reliability of our coating systems, as well as the skill and commitment of our people.
“As the rail industry continues to evolve, we are proud to stand alongside our customers and partners in delivering safer, more sustainable and longer-lasting solutions.”
Anochrome has been heavily involved in the rail industry for many years, coating components to support major rail infrastructure and rolling stock projects across the UK.
Products processed by Anochrome have been used on a wide range of rail projects, including London Underground, where concrete fastenings coated with thermal diffusion process are widely used.
Rail technologies include zinc flake and duplex coating systems, automated dip-spin and spray applications.
Steve added: “This approval opens new opportunities within the rail supply chain, particularly as the sector looks for technologies that reduce environmental impact and extend the service life of critical components.”
The Anochrome Group of companies are surface coating and metal finishing specialists and supply many market sectors from automotive and construction to wind energy and petrochemical industries.
