Sealing Solutions – Thread and Underhead Sealants
As part of our sealing product range, Anochrome Group offers a comprehensive selection of non-reactive thread and underhead sealants, designed to provide reliable, high-performance sealing across a wide range of applications.
Thread Sealants
Our thread sealants effectively fill all voids, ensuring a positive seal at working pressures and temperatures.
Predominantly non-curing, water-based systems, these environmentally-friendly products provide both sealing and torsional capabilities, offering instant sealing upon installation on ferrous and non-ferrous metallic threads.
They support a wide operating temperature range, up to 160ºC, and allow slight adjustment of components after installation, while facilitating easy disassembly compared with conventional methods.
Available thread sealant products include Microseal® 204 and Precote® 5 and 15.
Each product offers a unique combination of properties based on its chemistry.
Underhead Sealants
Part of the Anochrome family, Inlex is the UK’s leading applicator of flexible, organic, non-reactive solutions for underhead sealing. These are widely used for fasteners, rivets, and other components requiring gaskets, O-rings or washers.
Underhead sealants can be used alongside thread sealants and locking patches, applied across Anochrome Group facilities in the UK, Czech Republic and Poland.
Rimlex®
The Anochrome Group offers a proprietary range of underhead sealants under the Rimlex® brand. Rimlex® sealants provide a cost-effective, high-quality peripheral seal, applied to the underhead bearing surface of bespoke fasteners and components. Available Rimlex® products include:
Rimlex® 620B (blue or black)
Rimlex® 310 (red) for high-temperature applications
Rimlex® 600Y (yellow)
These sealants provide a robust seal by filling gaps between mating surfaces, ensuring correct application and high visibility.
Rimlex® can be dispensed in precise quantities for consistent, reliable joints and, in most cases, does not significantly alter torque-tension characteristics. For specific requirements, the seal coefficient of friction can be adjusted with additional top-coats or lubricants.
Rimlex® is suitable for most electroplated finishes, aluminium, brass, stainless steel, organic coatings and some plastics, including GRP. Large-volume orders can be processed using bespoke CNC-programmed multi-axis dispensing equipment, while smaller orders can be applied manually.
Proper interface geometry is critical for optimal performance and reusability.

We source additional underhead sealing products from leading global partners, omniTECHNIK and Nylok LLC.
These include precote® 15 and precote® 200 as well as Nyseal® and Nyseal 2.0®.
